Two greens per hole: Legend Hill’s twin greens
Designed by Nicklaus Design, Legend Hill opened in 2015. Its 18 holes each have two greens, making 36 greens in total. To be clear, that is 18 holes with 36 greens, not a 36-hole golf course.
The green in use changes the approach angle and the way you play the hole. On your first visit, ask your caddie to point out the active green. Knowing the target direction makes the shot simpler than checking distance alone.
The red-roofed clubhouse beyond the lake
The clubhouse stands out with its red roofs and central tower, with a lake and greens in front. Inside are a restaurant, locker rooms and a pro shop, keeping the essentials for before and after your round in one place.
When several groups play together, they will finish at different times. Agreeing on meal numbers and timing makes it easier to gather afterwards. If someone is coming without playing, ask whether they can wait in the clubhouse.
Leave breathing room for golf on a flight day
Legend Hill is in Soc Son, north of Hanoi. Its address is Cộng Hòa, Sóc Sơn, Hà Nội; older directions may also say Phù Linh. Look for Legend Hill Country Club on the map and your booking. Legend Valley is a different course.
On a day when you use Noi Bai Airport, see whether you can travel between the course and airport without returning to central Hanoi. Avoid placing the round too close to your flight. On arrival you still need to collect your bags, and on departure you may want a shower and meal after playing.
A good fit if you want to try a different layout
The twin greens are what most clearly set Legend Hill apart. It is worth considering for a day when you want a different style of course on your Hanoi golf trip. If you are looking in the airport area, Hanoi Golf Club is another option to compare.
For a trip with several rounds, I would leave a day for each course rather than rush between two in one day. Compare quotes for the same date and group size. Start by matching what is included for carts, caddies and transport; that makes price differences easier to understand.
